How
do I contact Spy on a Bird?
Why choose a wireless IP camera?
The IP camera is able to be viewed over a network
connection. Each camera can have up to 16 simultaneous viewers within
the network. Up to 64
users (including the admin) can be created.
Will the IP camera make my network vulnerable?
The camera is designed to not only
work with your existing wired network but also with standard 802.11b/g wireless
devices, allowing the flexibility to operate the camera wirelessly. The camera
utilizes SSID filtering, powerful 64/128 bit WEP and new
security standard WPA2 encryption to protect you from illegal intrusion.
Why choose a standard wireless camera?
Some schools do not have wireless access on their
local area network (LAN) or the access is limited to within the building.
In this case, a camera viewable on a TV or a single computer would be preferred.
How far will the wireless signal travel?
Both the IP and the standard wireless camera will
travel up to 300 feet - Line Of Sight (LOS). We recommend keeping the
camera within 100 feet of the receiver/router.
Will the signal pass through walls?
The signal will not effectively pass through
solid walls such as brick. In this case, the receiver/router should be
placed near a window to optimize reception.
Will the IP camera work on a MAC?
The IP camera will function on both PC and MAC
platforms. Contact us for more details.
How are the cameras powered?
All electronics need power. We offer 100 ft
AC adaptors for both camera systems. In addition, if no power source is
available near the camera, we offer solar powered systems. This allows the
system to be completely wireless.
When I try
to view the camera with the USB Video Adaptor, I do not get any video.
This is most commonly a settings issue. The default settings on the device
may need to be adjusted after driver and software installation.
Follow these instructions:
Plug the Video Adaptor into a 2.0 USB port
Open the Ulead software
Choose Video Studio Editor
Select the capture tab
Click capture video
Under "choose source" - select Syntek STK1160 (this is the EasyCap device) - may
take a few seconds
Click options
Select Video and Audio Capture property option
Select source tab
Input source - choose video "composite"
TV system - choose NTSC
You should now see video from the camera.
